Day Two: Shopping and Cocktails

Okay, I'm not gonna kid yez -- we're drunk. Crystal is crashed out asleep, I am not sober enough to be typing within the legal limit.

today ROCKSED! Cool but sunny, great day for walking. We started with a Turkish coffee from our man Erjhaan (phonetics rO0lz!) next door at the awesome Turkish place from yesterday, then missed our long-awaited Huevos Rancheros at a vegetarian place at the end of our street (tomorrow... you better BELEEEEEF!) umm, looks like we'll have to postpone that until tomorrow, as it's 1pm now and we haven't emerged yet :) coz we got there after 11am (sleeping in with jetlag rOolz!) We then hit the shops, buying some nice prezzies for people, hitting the toilets too many times, and setting off too many store alarms. Crystal bought clothes, I hung out drinking second rate coffee in Borders, taking 20 minutes to procure a comfy seat.

mmmmm, turkish coffee

Civic Center Plaza

The large sized Yogi Tea at Ananda Fuara Restaurant

Westfield San Francisco. Like Chadstone, if it were designed by MC Escher.

The dude at the hot dog stand was cool. And the pretzel was saltier than the sea.

The hog dog stand's FAQ sheet (the GAP store was directly opposite the stand)

Civic Center Plaza at dusk

Then Hilary and Pascal arrived from San Jose and we hit an awesome bar ("Cantina" they do cocktails in PITCHERS), then an awesome vegetarian restaurant ("Millenium"). By this time, we were trashed. Wine, margaritas and cocktails, who would have guessed? But a night out with Hilary and Pacal rOolz!

Hooray for Walgreens, they stock EVERYTHING, even SD cards for the camera (which I had left in the laptop at the hotel)

The menu was so nice, we stole it

Hilary & Craig ponder the composition of the dip (the main ingredient was white bean, not potato. Craig & Pascal lose the bet)

This is food.

Craig shouldn't attempt 'Blue Steel' while drunk, either.

... and neither should Hilary.

Night of the Living Idiots

Sooo many drinks...

Alcohol with coffee in, hoorah!

Dessert. Booyah.

The Californians did a stand-up job, putting up with 'Bear Night' at the nearby gay bar, but the sights of the videos and the slight lack of women in the bar put them off. They drove home with promises of meeting up in San Jose on Tuesday (bring it AWWWN!), and then Crystal and I went to another bar (avoiding the fist-fight in the carpark) for a little dancing to classic Michael Jackson before the ugly lights came on. So we went back to the hotel, for much more forgiving lighting.

24 hour booze. Danger, danger!

The wind changed, and they stayed like this for hours

It said no loitering, and we LOITERED! Take THAT, California!

Brewskis in Hotel Phoenix, the diviest dive bar in town!

Club closes, and all homies must go homie.

Crystal continues her quest to eat every type of crap in America.

And that's pretty much it! It'd be great if something awesome happens tomorrow, otherwise we're gonna BORE YOU PEOPLE SILLY.

Let's hope, yah?

Signing out,

Drunk Craig.

(Images to follow when I work out how to upload them) pics are up now, woo!
